Cast Iron Camp Stove

Thursday, August 6th, 2009

What goes together better than good food and a camping trip? A cast iron camp stove is an excellent piece of camping gear to take on a camping trip. With a cast iron camp stove, you can cook all of your family’s favorite meals.  The cast iron makes this type of stove heavy, to be sure. However, the one feature that makes a cast iron camp stove more useful is its size. It is larger than the portable camp stoves, and gives you more room to cook.

It might seem inconvenient to bring a heavier cast iron camp stove with you when you go camping. There are those who say that inconvenience is a relative notion. If you want to cook the best meals for your family, find a way to bring the cast iron stove with you. In order to help you organize everything for your trip, look at the following tips.

Rent an RV Camper

Instead of going by foot into the forest and carrying several heavy backpacks, think about renting a recreational vehicle (RV) camper instead. Using an RV camper is the perfect way to make sure your kids have comfortable beds to sleep in every night. You can have a fully functional kitchen, and you can cook all of your favorite meals for your family. Many RVs are already equipped with a cast iron camp stove. In that case, you wouldn’t have to worry about bringing one with you!

An RV is also a much safer mode of transportation to the camping site, and as a shelter when you arrive. The RV has doors that you can lock, and windows with screens to keep out small bugs and animals.

Buy a Small Cast Iron Camp Stove

If you would rather go camping in a tent instead of an RV, purchase a small cast iron camp stove for your trips. It’s not necessary to bring along a large Dutch cast iron stove every time you go camping. A smaller cast iron camp stove with two burners should suffice, and you will be able to make food that your family likes.
